Well known poet Tom Foolery has written the fantastic poem 'The Great Realisation' about lockdown which has been played during the London 2020/21 Firework Display and during Diversity (the dance act) Black Lives Matter BGT performance.
A note from Tom -
The Great Realisation began very simply as a project with my little brother and sister, in order to stay busy and creative amidst the gloomy monotony of lockdown. We set out to explore the idea of hope. Humans have an extraordinary capacity to battle through adversity if we have something to cling onto. A belief or hope that maybe, one day, things will be better. This idea sparked The Great Realisation and, on 29 April, I uploaded the film to my channels. The response was overwhelming. The desire for hope does not stop at borders. Millions across the planet connected with the poem and began to ask for it to be made into a children’s book.
