Vikings at Wentworth!

As part of their History topic, Year 3 enjoyed a 'Viking Day' on Tuesday. They were visited by real life Vikings from the Woden's Hearth group who bought along artefacts for the children to look at including shields, swords and helmets. They talked about life during Viking times, told Norse stories and re-enacted a battle. The children took part in various activities including grinding flour and they even tried their hand at archery.
The children came dressed as Vikings and they all had a thoroughly enjoyable day!
