Crew Manager Nick Trice from Maldon Fire Station said: “We’d like to highlight the quick-thinking from this boy, had he not raised the alarm so quickly, this could have been a much bigger incident and multiple people could have been made homeless."
To recognise Joshua's quick-thinking, firefighters at Maldon Fire Station invited him to the fire station for a tour and surprised him with a certificate to recognise his help to keep Maldon safe. A spokesperson said "A BIG thank you to Joshua, it looks like we've got a future recruit in the making.
