Mission Statement
At Wentworth our intention is to be an ‘Inclusive School’, ‘Striving for Excellence’, working to ensure our pupils are healthy, safe, enjoying achieving, and make a positive contribution to the community locally and beyond. We are committed to safeguarding the children in our care.
The school has a comprehensive recruitment system in which all adults undergo Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) and police checks. Safeguarding of the children includes child protection as well as their Health and Safety on the school site. Please see the School Child Protection Policy and the DFE’s “Keeping Children Safe in Education” document on the school website for further details.
Our curriculum is implemented through the National curriculum and is broad, balanced and sequenced. This relates to the development of the whole child meeting individual needs. Our puils leave Wentworth as unique individual with special qualities and talents, ready to make a positive contribution to the community life and prepares them well for a future of lifelong learning. We ensure that we consistently promote fundamental British values and develop pupils' spiritual, moral, social and cultural development. We offer a range of cultural capital experiences to every pupil throughout the school.
Our school rules 'Be Kind, Be Safe and Be Responsible' help to create our ethos of 'striving for excellence ' in every aspect of our school lives.
